Karen Paull (Book and Co-Lyricist) Karen Paull conceived and wrote the libretto for "The Bubble" during the Internet Craze of the late 90's, early 2000's in San Francisco, during her tenure as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for several Dotcoms'. In addition to her vast Dotcom career, Karen holds a MFA in theater from San Francisco State, and a BFA in theater from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has written and produced close to 50 original plays with her theater company, Electra Theater, most of which she has written. A reviewer for her first play, Limbo, the Bay Times writes, It was a rare treat to be entertained by a multi-dimensional performance artist, and exceptionally hilarious writer. Although born in Brooklyn, Karen spent most of her theater time in San Francisco and has also frequented academia as Associate Professor of Theater Arts at many colleges in California. She is also the recipient of the John F. Kennedy award for excellence in Acting, and was the Head Clown Teacher at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts. After many successful black-box shows at the San Francisco Fringe Festival including, "Flesh and Blood", and "A Distinctive Madness", Karen decided it was time to do a show in the Big Apple, her home town, and go for the big dream which is to have a Broadway hit show! Jump to 2007, and Karen finds out the good news that NYMF has accepted The Bubble and the dream sets sail. As a proud native New Yorker, Karen was brought up going to Broadway shows with her family and always dreamed of returning to do her own show! David Pack (Musical Composer, co-Lyricist) Along with being former singer-songwriter for the legendary rock group Ambrosia, David Pack has established himself as a respected recording artist, Grammy winning record producer, hit songwriter, and music director of global special events, including both of President Clinton's Arkansas Ball Inaugural Galas, Barbra Streisand and Elton John's Aids Project L.A. Commitment to Life Concert, and Oprah Winfrey's Volunteer Summit with George H.W. Bush, President Clinton, President Carter, Colin Powell, and other dignitaries. His collected works have sold over 40 million units worldwide. His two principal musical mentors for over 25 years are friends Quincy Jones and the late Leonard Bernstein. David's voice and songwriting skills have graced worldwide radio for over twenty-five years through his classic #1 hit songs such as "Biggest Part of Me", "How Much I Feel", "You're The Only Woman", all BMI 3 Million Airplay-Grammy nominated songs, along with the #1 hit he wrote, at Quincy Jones request for General Hospital TV star Jack Wagner back in the late 80's. As a music producer, he has produced platinum and gold selling Grammy nominated records for artists such as Wynonna, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Linda Ronstadt, Brian McKnight, CeCe Winans, Patti Austin, Andrae Crouch, and others. In 1996 he produced and conceived "The Songs of West Side Story" a brilliant tribute to his late friend and godfather to his daughter, Leonard Bernstein, where David re-arranged all of the WSS songs for artists such as Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Selena, Wynonna, Trisha Yearwood, Little Richard, Chick Corea, Phil Collins, TLC. That project was certified Gold and raised money for Grammy in the Schools and Leonard Bernstein's Education Foundation. In August 2005 David released a new solo CD on Concord Records titled "The Secret of Movin On" featuring special guests such as Ann Wilson (Heart), Steve Perry (Journey) the Eagles' Timothy B. Schmidt, and good friend jazz legend David Benoit. The CD has yielded two top ten national hits, rave reviews from pop and jazz critics including Jazziz top 5 best CD's of 2005. In addition, 2007 finds David nominated for the Best International Vocalist 2006 by Canadian Jazz Awards, along with Al Jarreau and Corrine Bailey Rae. www.davidpack.com
